It solves the issue ONLY if the PC was accidentally set to Legacy Boot instead of UEFI.
If your Windows was installed in UEFI mode but your BIOS is set to Legacy, the PC will fail to boot and may show Automatic Repair.
Follow These Steps
1. Restart your PC
When you see “Automatic Repair couldn’t repair your PC,” click Shut down.
2. Power ON and press F12 repeatedly
This opens the One-time Boot Menu.
In the Boot Menu
3. Select: “Change Boot Mode Settings”
You will see something like:
• Boot mode is set to: LEGACY; Secure Boot: OFF
4. Choose:
UEFI Boot Mode, Secure Boot ON
(or Secure Boot OFF if your system doesn’t support it)
You will see warnings — Select:
✔ Yes
then
✔ Apply The Changes
Your PC will reboot.
After reboot
Your Windows should start normally if Windows was originally installed in UEFI mode.
