PM Modi Inaugurates Historic Bairabi–Sairang Railway Line, Adds Aizawl to Indian Rail Map

PM Modi in Mizoram (13 Sept 2025): Inaugurated infrastructure projects worth ₹8071 crore.

Bairabi–Sairang Railway Line (51.38 km): Foundation stone laid in 2014, now inaugurated; includes 45 tunnels & 55 major bridges (one taller than Qutub Minar).

New Railway Services:

• Aizawl–Delhi Rajdhani Express

• Aizawl–Kolkata Express

• Aizawl–Guwahati Express

Other Major Projects Inaugurated:

• Residential School at Kawrthah – ₹33 crore

• Tlangnuam Eklavya Model Residential School – ₹24 crore

• Aizawl Western Bypass Road – ₹500 crore

• Gas Bottling Plant (Mualkhang) – ₹226 crore

• Tuipui Bridge (Chhimtuipui) – ₹70 crore

• Thenzawl–Sialsuk Road – ₹45 crore

• Khankawn–Rongura Road – ₹32 crore

• Khelo Multipurpose Hall, Aizawl – ₹12 crore

PM Modi’s Key Messages:
