Siaha, January 30, 2026: The Mizoram Journalists’ Association (MJA), District Headquarters, Siaha, held its 42nd Annual Conference-cum-General Election today at 11:00 AM at the Press Club, Siaha.
The first session of the programme was chaired by Shri C.Z. Hluna, President, MJA. The invocation prayer was offered by Shri M. Baithai, former President of MJA. Shri B. Vanlalhriata, General Secretary, MJA, presented the General Report, while Shri P.T. Lalhnehzova, Secretary i/c Information, MJA, announced the conference resolution.
During the session, a resolution was adopted congratulating Siaha Town for securing 1st Rank in the Mizoram Cleanliness Competition 2025. The conference acknowledged that the achievement reflects the collective efforts of the Local Administration Department (LAD), Mara Autonomous District Council, Village Councils, NGOs, sanitation workers, and the residents of Siaha in promoting a clean and healthy environment. The conference encouraged all concerned authorities and citizens to continue their hard work and expressed hope that Siaha would maintain the top rank in the 2026 cleanliness competition.
The General Election for the term 2026–2028 was conducted by Shri Pawsa Lava, Assistant Information & Publicity Officer, MADC, who acted as the Returning Officer. The following members were elected as office bearers and executive committee members of MJA, District Headquarters, Siaha:
