Before You Begin
Before starting the conversion process, ensure the following:
Your iPhone supports eSIM.
Your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
Your Airtel physical SIM is inserted and active.
Your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Your Airtel account has a registered email address, as it may be required during the verification process.
Step 1: Find Your iPhone’s EID
Open Settings.
Go to General → About.
Scroll down and locate the EID.
Copy the 32-digit EID number.
Step 2: Open the Airtel Thanks App
Launch the Airtel Thanks app.
Sign in with the Airtel mobile number you wish to convert to an eSIM.
On the Home screen, scroll down to Shortcuts.
Tap Upgrade to eSIM.
Step 3: Submit Your eSIM Request
Select Get eSIM for this device.
Paste or enter your 32-digit EID.
Verify your Airtel number using the OTP, if prompted.
Submit the request.
Step 4: Complete Verification
Airtel may place an automated verification call or request an additional confirmation to authenticate your eSIM conversion request.
Step 5: Activate Your eSIM
Once your request is approved:
Wait for approximately 2 hours.
Open Settings on your iPhone.
Tap Set Up Cellular (displayed below the Apple Account section).
Tap Continue to begin eSIM activation.
When you see Cellular Setup Complete, tap Done.
Your Airtel eSIM is now activated and ready to use.
