Siaha, Jan 26: Siaha Town has achieved a significant milestone by securing 1st Rank in the Mizoram Cleanliness Competition 2025 under Category-II (District Headquarters), organized by the Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation Department, Government of Mizoram, under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban).
The prestigious Swachhata Award was conferred on Siaha Town on 26th January, 2026, in recognition of its outstanding performance in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall urban hygiene.
The award was presented under the authority of the Government of Mizoram and signed by Shri Lalmalsawma Pachuau, IRS, Secretary, UD&PA Department, Govt. of Mizoram.
This achievement reflects the collective efforts of the Siaha Town authorities, sanitation workers, local administration, and citizens, whose active participation and commitment have played a vital role in making Siaha one of the cleanest towns in the state.
The accomplishment is expected to further inspire civic responsibility and strengthen the cleanliness movement across the region.
