Siaha, Friday, July 25: The Monsoon Session 2025 of the Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC), held from July 23 to 25, concluded successfully today.
During the three-day session, a total of 17 Starred Questions and 2 Unstarred Questions were addressed. Responses to the Unstarred Questions were presented on the table of the House, while the 17 Starred Questions were discussed in detail and answered during the proceedings.
In addition, several key Official Bills and Rules were passed by the House, including amendments to land settlement laws and new recruitment rules for various educational posts.
On the opening day of the session, the House observed a one-minute silence in honour of Shri Larintluanga Sailo (65), MLA of Dampa Constituency, who recently passed away at Max Super Speciality Hospital in New Delhi. He was a resident of Luangmual, Aizawl.
