Lucknow, Nov 24 (PTI) Teachers and government employees were today injured, when police chased them away near Vidhan Bhawan
here.

The teachers and employees clashed with the police, when they were going to dharna sthal, in front of Vidhan Bhawan, to stage a sit-in to press for their demands, which include implementation of sixth pay commission recommendations and remove anomalies in it, police sources said here.

As the government had banned demonstration and shifted dharna sthal yesterday, agitators were prevented by the police, which stopped them at Sahkarita Bhawan crossing leading to heated arguments between the agitators and police.

When agitators insisted to hold demonstration at dharna sthal, they were chased away by the police in which some of them had received minor injuries, they said.
