12 trains between Howrah-Bhubaneswar disrupted

Several trains including the Howrah-Chennai Coromandel Express, the Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express, Bangalore - Guwahati Express and the Howrah-Puri Jagannath Express were all cancelled following breaches caused by flash floods in Orissa and West Bengal.

The flash floods caused several other trains between Orissa and West Bengal to be cancelled or diverted for the fourth straight day leaving hundreds of tourists stranded in Puri, a popular destination in the region.

All the Howrah bound trains have been affected and the rail authorities are not quite sure when normal train service would resume there.
